MULTILATERALISM

Kenya depends on a stable functional and transparent rules based international system to pursue its national and shared global goals.

Kenya promotes the principles of the United Nations (UN) Charter and supports the work of the United Nations system in the enhancement of international peace and security, trade, human rights and democracy, women, youth and children, refugees, sustainable development and the reform of the UN system.

Kenya continues to effectively engage with the Commonwealth, South-South Cooperation, Indian Ocean Rim-Association for Regional Cooperation (IOR-ARC) and other multilateral organizations to promote international cooperation and collaboration in finding solutions to global challenges and transformation of the multilateral system.

Additionally, Kenya endeavours to defend and advance overall international policy goals through robust engagement at the World Trade Organization to create a predictable, transparent and enabling environment for fair multilateral trading system.
