Performance Contracts committement for Diaspora Affairs and Foreign Service Academy
The Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, Dr. Musalia Mudavadi, has presided over the signing of the performance contract between the Foreign Service Academy and the Ministry of Foreign & Diaspora Affairs.
Speaking during the ceremony, Dr. Mudavadi emphasised the importance of the contracts as strategic tools for driving measurable outcomes and aligned to Kenya’s national priorities under the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA).
“The contracts outline clear goals and targets that prioritize public safety, improve service delivery, and ultimately enhance the quality of life for all Kenyans. They reaffirm our commitment to fostering efficiency, transparency, and accountability in public service,” stated Dr. Musalia Mudavadi.
Present during the signing ceremony included Dr. Korir Sing’oei, Principal Secretary for Foreign Affairs; Ms. Roseline Njogu, Principal Secretary for Diaspora Affairs; Prof. Patrick Maluki, Chairperson of the Council of Foreign Service Academy; and Hon. Mwambu Mabonga, the Chairperson of the Public Benefit Organizations Regulatory Authority.
The performance contracts serve as an essential accountability mechanism, providing a structured framework for tracking the implementation of government policies and programs. The PCS urged leaders and staff of the State Departments and agencies to uphold the highest standards of integrity, diligence, and responsibility in their roles.
“The annual exercise is a cornerstone of public service delivery. It’s a commitment to excellence and a reminder that every action must deliver real, transformative change for the people of Kenya,” he added.
The signing of the Foreign Service Academy’s first performance contract since its recent inauguration as a State corporation, underscores the government’s unwavering commitment to driving meaningful development and measurable progress in Public service delivery across all sectors.
