Kenya wins at the 30th edition of the Rome Marathon
The 30th edition of the Rome Marathon, held on 16th March 2025, attracted over 27,000 participants.
The 42 km race started at Via dei Fori Imperiali near the Colosseum and ended at the historic Circo Massimo.
Kenyan athletes, Robert Ng'eno, Brian Kipsang, and Joshua Kogo, took 1st, 2nd and 3rd places respectively. Betty Chepkwony and Rebecca Kangogo took first and third place, respectively among the women.
The event was attended by amongst others, Mayor Roberto Gualtieri and Ambassador Fredrick Matwang'a and Kenyans in the Diaspora who were at hand to cheer on the Kenyan athletes
