Kenya Viet Nam Relations

Kenya and Vietnam enjoy cordial relations spanning over 25 years since the establishment of our diplomatic relations. 

Dr. Korir SingOei recently hosted H. E. Madame Nguyen Minh Hang, Special Envoy of the Prime Minister and Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam for an inaugural Kenya-Vietnam Bilateral and Political Consultations. 

The consultations culminated in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on Political and Diplomatic Consultations. This MOU will serve as a mechanism for regular engagements focused on jointly identifying areas of mutual interest for cooperation while providing consistency for deepening the Kenya-Vietnam bilateral ties.

Kenya further looks forward to elevating relations across multiple sectors including: agriculture, manufacturing, ICT, trade and investment, and tourism promotion, among others.

The Principal Secretary and the Special Envoy also discussed the upcoming 4th Summit on UN Partnerships for Green Growth and 2030 Global goals Summit (P4G) scheduled to be held in Hanoi Viet Nam in April 2025.
