Celebrating Excellence in Records Management: State Department Hosts Appreciation Luncheon

On June 13, 2025, the State Department held a special luncheon to honour the outstanding efforts of the records management staff and the National Youth Service (NYS) officers. This event celebrated the successful completion of the department’s records reorganization project, a milestone that marks a new era of efficiency and organization within the State Department.

The luncheon was graced by the Ag. Director General, Political and Diplomatic Affairs, Amb. Lucy Kiruthu, who represented the Principal Secretary, and Director, Kenya Missions & Global Assets Management, Mr. James Omosa. 

In her remarks, Amb. Kiruthu commended the dedication and teamwork demonstrated throughout the project. She also conveyed heartfelt appreciation to the NYS Commandant General, represented by Assistant Commandant General, Mr. Felix Ikumiru on behalf of the State Department for the invaluable support provided by the NYS team.

The highlight of the occasion was the presentation of certificates of appreciation to all team members, recognizing their hard work, commitment, and professionalism. Special acknowledgment to the records management team, led by Director Frida Kajuju, whose leadership was instrumental to the success of the project.

The State Department extends its sincere gratitude to everyone involved in this project. Whose efforts have set a new standard for records management and have greatly contributed to the ministry’s excellence in service delivery.
